So my Pups are 18 months old and I finally had them fixed last month. It was hella expensive since they were over 60 lbs and I boarded them all week while I went to Arizona. Its been a month and they are definitely a calmer more reasonable duo. Still rambunctious and occasionally a pain in the ass, but less peeing in the house and not as much territorial posturing over me.

Mama and Pop are doing good. Pop needs a girlfriend. He's been a bit moody and is still waiting on Mama to go back into heat. He's not figured out that she won't be going into heat EVER again. I took care of that the 1st week they were here last year. He does create some beautiful offspring...

What they all are is SNUGGLE dogs! Have to be near me or better yet TOUCHING me at all times. Sleeping in my bed is NOT restful. They pin me in the covers and through the night steal all the blankets. They lay on my legs and lean up against my back. I wake up with my lower back, hips and knees hurting. The pressure from 2 - 70lb pups, 85lb Pop and 55lb Mama.... taking their toll on my body. I bought a toddler bed this past week and put their big blanket on it. Mama lays there most of the night, but the boys just can't be that whole 10 feet from me.

Its after Midnight - I need to go to bed. The Walking Dead sucked me in.
The Pack is relaxed and snoring. Mama has her head on my lap. At least its the light weight one and not Gunner - his head alone weighs 20 lbs. lol

DESERT DOGS - 2011-2012 Pacific Division Champions

I want to post this... as a reminder to myself.

As a specific place I can go to reflect on this joyous time in my life as a hockey fan.
My team has won the Pacific Division Championship and I am ecstatic.
I posted this to Facebook, but with the dreaded timeline and the amount of posts I have posted and others have posted = I am afraid it will get lost.

Welcome to Boxer Central - What's it all about?

This will be a way for me to enjoy, share, vent, entertain, and create weekly stories involving my "Pack" and their shenanigans. Nothing makes for dramatic things to blog about better than 2 seven month old puppies and their parents. I live alone (well technically there is a female offspring that comes back from college occasionally, but she's another topic... I could write a blog about HER shenanigans also) in the house next door to my Mother and Sister #3 - there are 6 of us. Yes, ALL sisters - in an old house I rent from Mom. Small town Indiana. REALLY small town. Everyone knows everyone and most of them know your business before you do, and occasionally they will tell you. :-)

The Pack - Gunner = Daddy, Peyton = Momma, Bruno & T.A.N.K.
My nephew moved back to Indiana the same time I did in April. Peyton had this litter of pups the night before he drove here from Florida. There were 8 male pups, all Fawn. Only 7 survived. Of that 7, one of them almost died because Peyton had some problems with feeding them all. My nephew & his Dad bottle fed this one and he is now my Bruno. He was my gift/payment for keeping Gunner and Peyton while Josh returns to Florida and tries to get settled. 2 of my other nephews each got a pup. Matt has Whitten, and Adam has Chester. Josh sold 2 others before he left and I was in charge of selling 2 remaining. I kinda did my job....
I sold Diamond -- now Remington -- to a woman who worked in the Veterinary office that I took them to for their shots. T.A.N.K on the other hand, was always my favorite. I just couldn't let him go. Bruno might get lonely when Gunner and Peyton go back to Florida. (This was my logic to convince myself I should keep him, when really - I just LOVE him <3)
The Pack is napping and I think I am going to follow them. More to come.... maybe.
